Perched on top of a hill in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside this Grade II Georgian listed house has a rich history. It was a hospital during the Second World War and then took on some renovations in the Sixties with the design being completed by the esteemed John Fowler.
Our brief was to transform this beautiful but dated house into a contemporary family home while still respecting and enhancing the architecture of each room. We worked closely with the architects and with substantial renovations underway we worked on the electrics/lighting layouts, the many bathroom designs as well as working with the kitchen designer on the overall layout, colours and detailing.
Our clients had an extensive collection of artwork while also embracing our love for colour, both of which made for a great starting point in the design and decoration for each room. Antiques were mixed in with pieces from some of our favourite suppliers. The history and beauty of the house made for an exciting project that took nearly three years to complete but has resulted in a stunning family home.
The house was featured in the Homes & Garden magazine, Christmas issue 2018. “The classic interior of this Georgian property marries pattern, colour and texture to create a family home with a contemporary feel.”
