This beautiful 17th Century house sitting at the top of the Chilterns had not been touched for 70 years.
The house needed an entire renovation and working with an architectural engineer we opened up the spaces to create a new layout for the house. Bathroom and kitchen designs were worked on, the electrics and plumbing were redone throughout and slowly the house was put back together again to make for a comfortable, contemporary family home with classic finishes.
We worked with existing furniture, recovering upholstery pieces to fit in with new schemes, and sourcing new pieces and antiques to complete the rooms. The family have three children and therefore the room designs needed to grow with them over the coming years. The brief from our client was for colour and flair without compromising the architecture of the rooms. The result is a lovely light filled house with a contrast of complimentary decorations and designs.
