We came across Stephan Jones recently when we read about his study design for the 2016 San Francisco Showcase. We love the masculine edge to this interior with its indigo blues, charcoal browns and neutral tones. It smartly mixes contemporary art and antiques into a relaxing retreat that we could just as easily move our offices into it as put our feet up with a good cup of coffee. The calligraphic ink paintings caught our eye first and they are obviously hard to miss – the impact of eight together covering one wall is incredibly striking. He has drawn out the colours in the rug with an admiring attention to detail. With this attention to detail and pattern, its hard to know which aspect of the room to love more!
